Cockpit Security Bulkhead and Doors
TAG is completing work on its contract to install secure cockpit bulkhead and doors onto a Shorts SD3-30 and 60. The secure cockpit design can withstand intrusions from un-authorized personnel and small arms fire and utilizes a high-pressure treated plastic laminate material. The experience TAG personnel have in design, stress analysis, project management and certification of both composite and metal airframe structures has certainly been an asset on this project. Working with strategic partners in the Aeroalliance Trade Network has also facilitated the success of this project.
Bombardier Global Express
The TAG team expertly engineered the lightweight potable water tank as well as integrating the installation design of associated hardware and hydraulic systems. Finite element modeling ensured high quality results, optimizing the tank shape to conform to a specific design envelope.
Bombardier CRJ-700
Representatives of the TAG team were involved in the design of the new empennage for Bombardier’s CRJ700 from concept through design resulting in a successful first flight and ensuing production.
Bombardier Continental
Design of the interface of the horizontal stabilizer to vertical stabilizer through first-build of the Bombardier Continental jet was successfully completed by Phil Evans.
Bell Helicopter M407
After a successful first test flight, production began on the installation of cockpit instrumentation developed with the assistance of Tony Stokes.
Bell Helicopter M427 Bulkhead Adaptor
Visibility was greatly improved for power line inspections after the TAG design team repositioned aft passenger seats in the Bell Helicopter M427. This design was achieved without the cost of dynamic seat testing by utilizing unique analytical methods.
Aircraft Interior Modification
The experience TAG had with stress analysis of Boeing 767 seat track and floor modifications secured the contract to supply stress analysis reports. This allowed the installation of various seating configurations on a number of 767 aircraft.
Jig And Tool Design
The TAG team successfully completed the concept design of a production line 5-axis drilling machine for various airframe sub-assemblies for the Northrop Joint Strike Fighter program. The design was developed using CAE modeling techniques to ensure positional and quality repeatability of fastener holes in the assemblies.
AirBus Evacuation System
TAG incorporated an evacuation system, employing a platform and shoot concept, into a narrow conformal design envelope within the fuselage structure. The evacuation system had been designed for maritime use by ESI who wished to apply this technology to the aerospace industry.
